At Gold panning NZ we live and breath GOLD prospecting, We love it so much we have even thrown in our day jobs to go prospecting full time!

The rewards, fun and excitement that comes with being in the beautiful outdoors that GOLD prospecting offers is something we would love to
share with the people of New Zealand!

Our business is based at the top of the South Island of New Zealand at a place called Golden Bay.
You may think Golden Bay got it’s name from the golden sand beaches and crystal clear waters that lap the shores of the bay but think again!

The area got it’s name from the major GOLD rush in the 1850’s when a local farmers wife found a glimmer of GOLD in the Aorere River, sparking one of
New Zealand’s first GOLD rushes!

Even today the rivers and creeks are still worked for GOLD, providing a stable income for GOLD miners in the district.

We think the history of our past fellow miners needs to be kept alive.
The best way to do that, is to continue there with there legacy of determination, persistence, hard work and the dream of one day striking it rich!!
That’s why we have provided you with our store, Where you can find prospecting equipment, information knowledge and handy tips to help you out in
your prospecting carrier.

The People

GOLD Panning NZ has teamed up with GOLD Hunting Adventures and we offer on site GOLD prospecting training
and tours to all people interested in learning the art of GOLD prospecting.
